MDMS Development in the Field of Computational Support for Statistical Surveys

Abstract

This article contains an analysis of the problem of master data management systems (MDMS) development in the field of computational support for statistical surveys. Features and challenges specific to the field are pointed out, as well a set of requirements for the MDMS to fulfill to be considered successful. Some approaches to development of certain components of MDMS are evaluated based on the experience of building a MDMS for the Russia-wide census 2010.
